The Danery

Country kitchen and pub Soft play Holiday lets

Watercolour of The Danery from the road: the red-brick pub with tables, umbrellas and planters out front, a timber-clad wing with The Danery painted on it, and an old Land Rover parked outside.

The Danery is coming back to life

Closed for redevelopment. Reopening autumn 2027, subject to planning.

The Danery was in our family from 1976 to 2006. In October 2026 we bought it back, and we're now giving it a new chapter: a country kitchen and pub serving properly good food and drink, from the first coffee to last orders, a soft play and children's play space, and a few holiday lets.

Be the first to hear when we open

Watercolour of The Danery seen along its length: a long timber-clad building with tall windows and people at tables under umbrellas, a tall timber tower at the left-hand end, and the brick pub on the right.

We're restoring and extending the building, with the holiday lets at the back of the site. There is no food, drink or accommodation here while the work goes on.
